About Me

This is who I am

Graphic Designer, Photographer, Frontend Web Developer, Engineer

Neil Hinkle at the DragonCon

Hello there! If you’re here then you’re probably wondering exactly who this guy is and why you should hire him. Long story short, I’m an accomplished graphic designer with more than 10 years of industry experience and expertise in print and web design, as well as photography. I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from Georgia Southern University. While there, I learned all of the industry standard software and developed and refined the skills needed to take a project from concept to completion.

I am a self-taught front-end developer with experience in translating designs from mock-ups to working code, and WordPress development. This also led me to learn how to build and deploy e-commerce solutions with WooCommerce, Shopify, and Shopsite. Much like my web development skillset, I am also a self-taught photographer with an eye for composition and producing striking images that will wow your audience.

Recently, I have expanded my skillset into VB.net web application development and have gained certification in Cvent.

On top of all of that, I’m also a geek and I don’t try to hide it. I love going to conventions, dressing up in costumes, and building prop replicas from my favorite movies and video games! If you go to DragonCon on any given year, you’ll probably see me dressed as a Ghostbuster, The Doctor from Doctor Who, or a character from Fallout. The way I see it, it’s another outlet for my creativity. Building props and costumes have allowed me to expand my skill set in ways that I would not have anticipated years ago. Thanks to the discipline required to effectively translate what you see on the screen into reality, I’ve learned how to build and troubleshoot 3D printers, painting and airbrush techniques, resin casting and mold-making, and soldering, Arduino programming, and far too many other skills and techniques to list here.
